B & B Lumber
B & B Lumber Co was founded in 1976 when brothers Harold and Tom Baalmann purchased Melcher Lumber in southwest Wichita. The name was quickly changed to B & B Lumber, and the product lines expanded to include pole barn supplies, windows, exterior doors, treated lumber, and cedar lumber.
Word got out, and B & B Lumber started to outgrow its facilities. Buildings and showrooms were added at the Wichita, KS location, and a second location was established in Newton, KS.
Kitchen cabinets, pre-hung doors, hardwood moldings, and farm and ranch supplies have been added over the years to make B & B Lumber a full line building materials supplier for professional builders, remodeling contractors, ranchers, and homeowners.
Today, the second generation of the Baalmann family handles the daily operations of B & B Lumber. A fleet of 24 delivery vehicles and 45 employees are ready to serve your needs in Wichita, Newton, and the entire state of Kansas.
B & B Lumber is actively involved in the Wichita and Newton communities, giving back through several organizations:
